At 5pm on March 17th, 2020 in Compliance with the Governors Executive Order 20-68 V.F.W. Post 8195 closed its doors until further notice. The Guidance that has been issued to me and verified as of today March 18th, 2020 6pm is as follows.
At no time will there be more than 10 people at the Post Building, or Stone of Hope Bldg. for any reason other than to conduct Official Business as Officers of the Post or others to do necessary work as in maintenance, or building checks. All social activities including rentals, fundraisers, karaoke night, card night, Eddie Ashley night, Poker night, and any other unmentioned events are cancelled until 5pm, April 16th, 2020 and the front door must remained locked at all times unless another update changes that requirement. I have been informed that BSO will be checking for businesses in violation of the issued guidance and that municipalities are prepared to revoke licenses and close businesses permanently of those who violate. I encourage all to take this COVID-19 Virus seriously. I expect all of us to have this pass without any being infected but since there is always a chance let's do what we are required to do for this limited amount of time. This too will pass. May God Bless us all.
Sincerely,
William Frazier, Commander
S. Broward Post 8195, Veterans of Foreign Wars United States of America
